A hand carved pet portrait that is a perfect gift for the animal lover, dog lover, farmer, or vet to use for stamping snail mail, adding to a tag, stamping on letterhead, or for creating your own custom pet-wear.
-Select how may pets you want to feature in your stamp. Remember a lot of pets in the portrait will yield less detail in the stamp (ie: a herd of goats will have less detail compared to a couple of goats).
**Be aware that this is a portrait, not an exact copy of your picture, so please allow for some detail loss and modification as I am carving. If there is something tiny in the picture that is a necessary detail please talk to me before you buy the stamp so I can make sure that I can include those specific items. (For instance: a detailed collar, spots or curls in fur, or the removal of any details you do not want added) Size of the stamp will vary depending on how large I need to make it to get the detailing in. Please let me know if there is a specific size restriction, otherwise it usually ranges from 1.5-3 inches.
How your stamps are made:
The process is simple. After the stamp is carved, it is mounted to the reclaimed wood backing. A copy is stamped on top and the reclaimed wood is sanded and glazed over to add some shine and protection. No stamp pads are included with the order, but I suggest any Archival Ink pad. Your stamp has to be tested and used to stamp the wood it is mounted on before it arrives to you, so please do not be alarmed if there is a residue of ink on the rubber. Ink is normal. Wood type/ grain always varies because it is reclaimed.
