A custom hand carved portrait stamp makes a great business stamp, or adds an extra special element to any party for place settings, envelopes, or stationary. Great as an envelope seal or even on business cards or thank-you notes.
-Please be sure to select if you want "picture only", or if you would like to add a name and/or date to the bottom of the picture. Then immediately send me a clear headshot of the person in the stamp, and the correct spelling of the name and date you want (if you are selecting either of those options). See other listings for multiple person stamps.
-If you choose to add a name, it will be written in a small but bold writing. It can be added to almost any spot on the stamp, but usually the bottom of the stamp looks best. The date will only be written numerically with dashes in between (ie: 12-20-13). If this is for graduation and you only want the year listed, it will be the same price.
**Be aware that this is a portrait, not an exact copy of your picture so please allow for some detail loss and modification as I am carving. If there is a detail that is necessary please talk to me before you buy the stamp so I can make sure that I can include those specific things. (For instance: a tiny chain on a person's neck, a mole/freckles on someone's face, or the removal of any details you do not want added). Size of the stamp will vary but they normally range between 1.5-3 inches in height and width.
How your stamps are made:
The process is simple. After the stamp is carved, it is mounted to the reclaimed wood backing. A copy is stamped on top and the reclaimed wood is sanded and glazed over to add some shine and protection. No stamp pads are included with the order, but I suggest any Archival Ink pad. Your stamp has to be tested and used to stamp the wood it is mounted on before it arrives to you, so please do not be alarmed if there is a residue of ink on the rubber. Ink is normal. Carved to order. Stamp design will vary slightly because it is hand carved. Wood type/ grain always varies because it is reclaimed.
